What a year it has been! Fifteen years after our founding in 2004, Hardwick General Contracting (HardwickGC) has grown to become a nationally recognized award-winning luxury custom home and renovation company. Our mission is to provide an extraordinary personalized building experience by delivering exceptional home quality, unparalleled customer service, and personal involvement throughout design and construction.

2019 - GOBA/FHBA/NAHB
In 2019, we were honored to serve the Central Florida community in a variety of ways. For the 10th year in a row, Greg Hardwick served to the Board of Directors of the Greater Orlando Builder's Association (GOBA). In this role, Greg leads this vital association that represents and promotes the building industry, encourages higher standard practices through education, and works to impact governmental and regulatory activities that affect the construction industry within Greater Orlando, as well as at the State and National levels.

Greg Hardwick is an active member of GOBA's Custom Home & Remodelers Council, often serving as an expert panelist and presenter. He has also served as past president of GOBA and Director of both the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Greg also served on the Executive Committee for NAHB’s Builder 20 Program. HardwickGC also helped three Mexico Beach families with the restoration of their homes after Hurricane Michael caused destruction to the Florida Gulf Coast. Greg also helped with hurricane relief efforts for residents of the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian.

GOBA recognized HardwickGC with its Pinnacle Builder Award for 2019. The Pinnacle Builder Award was created in 2012 as recognition for Builder Members who support GOBA's Motto of "Doing Business with Members." The firm also won seven GOBA Major Achievement Awards in 2019, including Best Logo, Best Collateral Package, Best Social Media Program, Best Website, and two for Best Print Ad.

And then, there's everyone's favorite event of the year, Parade of Homes Orlando. HardwickGC entered two remodeled homes and won both awards in the Interior/Exterior Remodeling category. The first project in Lake Nona, called Entertainer's Dream, was a remarkable whole-house renovation that transformed a typical production home into an Entertainer's Dream Home. HardwickGC created a waterfront custom home for entertaining friends and family. Rich with home technology and automation advancements and designed with a blend of modern industrial and steampunk elements, the 6-bedroom 5-bath home has two large Master Suites and plenty of outdoor living. HardwickGC received several honors for the project, including the Award of Merit for Interior/Exterior Renovation.

The second Parade of Homes entry, the Modern Family Renovation in Baldwin Park, is a completely renovated home suited for a modern couple and their extended family. The HardwickGC Team was called in to help with the transformation from typical production finishes and floorplan to a completely renewed custom home. The Master Suite, Family Room, Kitchen, Living Room, and Dining Areas were completely gutted and rebuilt according to the homeowners' personal taste and luxurious design. The 2-Story, 5-Bedroom, 4.5 - Bath, 2-Car Garage, pool home is perfect for the occasional empty-nesters. It also has a private 1-BR apartment - so when the kids are back in town, this luxurious remodeled home is the ideal gathering place. This project won First Place for Interior/Exterior Renovation.

Beyond the Central Florida market, HardwickGC received a major statewide award in 2019. The Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) honored Greg Hardwick and HardwickGC as the 2019 Remodeler of the Year, a recognition awarded by over 8,000 FHBA members across the state. Selected by a council of industry leaders, the award encourages best practices, expertise, and exceptional leadership qualities in a Florida remodeler. "FHBA recognizes remodeling of homes and businesses as the leading component in the return of the building industry in Florida," said Rusty Payton, FHBA CEO/Chief Lobbyist. "Remodelers have helped the business revitalization of our state, and we are proud to recognize Gregory for his outstanding career accomplishments." The award, which is a respected tradition for twenty-six years, was presented on Friday, October 4, 2019, during the FHBA Fall Leadership Conference at The White Room in St. Augustine, Florida.

2019-MCBC
The Master Custom Builder Council (MCBC) elected Greg Hardwick as the 2019/2020 President and he was also recently awarded with the 2019 Spirit of Hope Award, which recognizes Hardwick’s contributions to the MCBC and its charitable organizations. The MCBC is a Central Florida organization pledged to maintain the highest professional standards in the home building industry. The Council represents 22 of the area's leading custom and luxury home builders who have dedicated themselves to using their craft and workmanship to help make Central Florida an even more exceptional place to live.

Thank you!
2019 was a banner year for us here at HardwickGC, but the best part has been the relationships we have built. Our supplier partners, team members, and customers mean the world to us, and we never take for granted that people, not bricks and mortar, are the foundation of our business. It is truly an honor to play a part in creating dream homes for our clients here in Central Florida. We are grateful to everyone who played a role in our first 15 years, and we look forward to many more years of partnership and growth.
